Let's face it. It's been months since I've drawn something that appealed to me. Not that I lack ideas (well, maybe I'd need some more...), but I've not FELT like drawing for some time now. And less than that, I haven't felt like taking Photoshop for a coloring round or two.

It sucks. I'm having a Defcon-1 kind of art crisis.

Besides of that, there's going to be major change in my life in the next months. I'm leaving my country, and i'm going to live half a world away from it. I won't be able to carry any artbooks with me, and that's why i'm looking for some digital "backups", since i have more than 50 Kg. of artbooks, and more than 300 Kg (I'd dare say even 500, but i don't want to brag) of Comic-books. Thank god for the .CBR format and the scan groups!

I need to reinvent myself.

I need to learn to draw again.

I need to know which style I'll be commiting to, since I seem not being able to produce decent digital paintings (i know i can do it with traditional art, but somehow, I seem to be uncapable of producing a painted artwork in digital mode... Photoshop fails me with that, when my acrylics do not). A cartoon/animation looks or an european comic book kind of art is more in my style, but even those kind of drawings do not seem to satisfy me anymore.

So i have to get back to the basics. Learn to draw almost from scratch, again, for the third time. God knows what It'll come out of this.

It's possible that the next journal will be written from my new place. I'll reveal more of this in the future.
